About Us

Clevedon and District Flower Club is vibrant and has over 80 members. It’s aims, are to encourage the enjoyment of flowers and to further the educational, cultural and charitable aspects of flower arrangement.

CLUB EVENING involves an expert Floral Designer constructing Flower Arrangements, both modern and traditional, reflecting style, design and colour. Learning about flowers and greenery are other key aspects. Visitors and members may sit back and enjoy watching the demonstrator and meeting others who enjoy flowers. Please see Club Programme.

PRACTICE CLASS involves learning about or improving flower arranging skills. Tutoring and assistance are available for all, from beginners to those competent. Please see dates and times under Practice Classes.

OUTINGS AND EVENTS are arranged throughout the year to which all members are invited. In June this year the club will be celebrating it’s Emerald Anniversary at Clevedon Hall. In August Club members will be attending the NAFAS Diamond Anniversary Floral Exhibition at the Design Centre in London. Please see Events Programme for further events.

FUNDRAISING takes place alongside our meetings and a different charity is nominated for support annually. In recent years the club has supported such charities as Guide Dogs for the Blind, Great Western Air Ambulance,  Meningitis Now &  North Somerset (Clevedon) Community Hospital. This Year, our chosen charity will be Clevedon Community Centre and our annual  Garden Fete will be in July/August 2020 – Cancelled due to Covid-19.

Please note – due to Covid-19 and social distancing rules, meetings from end of March to beginning of September have had to be cancelled.  We hope to resume in September with our AGM but this will depend on Government/NAFAS Guidelines and reduced numbers with Social Distancing may well still apply.
